The opportunity
As a highly experienced Senior Integrated Planning and Scheduling Specialist, you will provide technical leadership and support across a number of complex Wedgetail projects.
Responsibilities:
- Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
- Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
- Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
- Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
- Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
- Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.
Experience/Qualifications
- Advanced Open Plan Professional (OPP) experience.
- Extensive experience in Project Planning, Project Scheduling and EVM Systems.
- Thorough understanding of critical path analysis and the ability to tailor information and data for presentation to various stakeholders and levels of management.
- Demonstrated ability to create project schedules to identify overall timeframe for project activities to meet the defined project objectives (to include major milestones), identify resource requirements for projects, and manage those resources throughout the project life cycle.
- Possess an understanding of the planning methodologies to determine impacts, constraints and plans involving product development, production rates, program and production time fences.
- Possess an understanding of program planning methodologies and proposal artifact development, including high level flow, integrated master plan, and deliverable and responsibility workbook.
- Possess direct understanding of scheduling methodologies used in industry.
- Proven ability to apply methodologies and knowledge to develop, maintain, analyze, and provide visibility of executable program plans leading to an effective integrated master schedule development.
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Management theory, concepts and principles (e.g. theory of constraints, critical path methodology, project risk management, triple constraints, project scope management, project management lifecycle etc.) contained in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK[R] Guide).
- Demonstrated ability to define, design and plan projects, achieve project deliverables, and optimize the contributions of internal and external resources.
- Possess a working knowledge of scheduling process, data requirements and tools required to implement each methodology.
- Demonstrated track record of method application, process and tool knowledge to develop, maintain, analyze and provide visibility of schedules.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
- Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills
- Defence security clearance (desirable)
