The Opportunity

Insitu Pacific is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Director of Contracts, Logistics, and Supply in administering, managing, and maintaining contracts in alignment with our policies and procedures. You will provide expert advice on contractual matters, ensuring the effective management and mitigation of contractual and commercial business risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and approve for release surveys and quotes or proposals related to assigned contracts and customers.
  • Coordinate and negotiate amendments, variations, and contract change proposals.
  • Administer contracts to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Assist with the establishment of adequate risk management or allocation plans and take all necessary steps to enforce Insitu Pacific's rights under each Contract.
  • Ensure compliance with all Export and Import Control requirements.
  • Maintain a register of contract information and safeguard original contractual instruments.
  • Train personnel on contractual matters and develop user guides and training materials.
  • Develop and maintain pro-forma documents and ensure configuration control of all precedents.
  • Provide advice on liabilities, indemnities, and insurance in accordance with company policy.
  • Align Business Services objectives with the company's strategic direction.
  • Offer contractual support and advice on existing contracts.
  • Participate in contract negotiations for new and existing business.
  • Prepare and coordinate contract change proposals and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers regarding contractual matters.
  • Review correspondence related to commercial issues, including performance assessments and invoicing.

 Experience/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a law or business related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 10 or more years' experience in contract/subcontract management and administration.
  • Working knowledge of Australian Defence contracting policies and procedures including the ASDEFCON contracting suite.
  • Familiarity with US export controls including the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defence Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, and other relevant laws and regulations.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
  • Able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
  • You may require a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA) in order to perform this role. This is not a requirement set or determined by Boeing but by the Department of Defence under laws issued in 2024. Please refer to the Department of Defence website to understand these requirements.
