The opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia's (BDA) provides people, expertise, process and tools to manage aircraft design, repair and continuing airworthiness capabilities supporting program execution and growth opportunities. Forward looking, the Engineering function has developed a Capability Plan to enable the Engineering workforce to meet our defence customers' evolving needs, both in Australia and internationally.

BDA is looking for a Technical Data Management Controller to join the Engineering Strategy & Operations team; a central engineering team who are focused in creating engineering excellence through diversity, culture, and strategic initiatives that will enable the workforce.  In this role you will manage and protect data for the Air Combat Electronic Attack program. This is a great opportunity for someone with technical data management experience in an engineering/maintenance/manufacturing environment.

This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD

As a Technical Data Management Controller within BDA, you will:

  • Perform Data Management activities as part of an overall project plan. 
  • Co-ordinate the flow of project-related data and documentation within the Apache team, and between internal and external agencies.
  • Register, distribute and manage the protection of incoming and outgoing technical data
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data management plans, standards, processes, systems and tools.
  • Effectively interface with our internal and external customers to support the operation of the platform.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry
  • Experience using Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar.
